While visiting Siem Reap in Cambodia, we spent a day wandering around the ruins of Angkor, the seat of the Khmer Kingdom from the 9th–15th centuries. We hired an electric scooter to make our way around the ancient city at our own pace. Using the Smart Guide app instead of hiring a guide insured we had enough time to linger and take photos. So without further waffle here is Angkor Wat in Photos.
For our diary of Angkor Wat in photos we followed the “small circuit” on the Smart Guide app. This brought us to the “big hitters” as well as other non-crowded incredible structures. The route is 18km, covers 21 sites, and says it takes 7 hours. We started at sunrise and ended at sunset stopping to eat and grab a drink.
